At LuxSci, we are continuously innovating to deliver highly secure, flexible and reliable solutions to meet your business needs. In this spirit, we are very excited to announce that we have partnered with Oracle to deliver key infrastructure improvements and enhanced data center capabilities.

With this upgrade, our new servers offer a multitude of key advantages including:

- Significantly increased available memory and CPU performance
- Significantly improved networking speed
- Automatic layer 3 and 4 network DDoS protection
- Enhanced inter-server network isolation
- Upgraded, more secure operating system: Oracle Linux v8

Over the coming months, all shared LuxSci services will be migrating away from the current (Enterprise) VMware servers at RackSpace to the new and improved Oracle servers and second-generation data center. These migrations will take place on a rolling basis over the 12 months starting August 1st, 2021.

Your specific server migration announcements will be made at https://status.luxsci.com when the time nears, and we will certainly notify you through a support ticket and/or phone call if any specific actions are required of you as a result of the migration.

This data center upgrade will not impact your current solution pricing; it will serve to further increase the security and performance of your LuxSci solutions.

Lastly, it is important to note that after this migration, LuxSci shared web and email services will no longer running in a clustered VMware environment. As with most technology solutions, service downtime will be
possible in the event of hypervisor/hardware failure, although such events are very rare in the Oracle cloud. If your organization requires the highest level of availability for your LuxSci services, our team is standing by to share the key benefits of upgrading your shared solution to a dedicated, high availability clustered solution.
