LuxSci will be migrating a shared email server rs160.luxsci.com to a new server. This server is being migrated to a new machine November 20th in order to upgrade the operating system. The current server is getting old and the operating system will stop being supported this year. We are migrating rs160 to a new server with a new OS to mitigate this.
Migration Time: Sunday, Nov 22nd between 9pm and 11pm Eastern Time.
During this migration period, email services may be offline for 15-45 minutes. Affected customers should plan to not login or try to use email during the maintenance window. Note that the migration will preserve the IP address of this server, so no DNS or other changes will be needed. Except that you should note that SMTP will require TLS 1.2+ going forward after this migration, if you are still using TLS 1.0 for SMTP, you will need to upgrade to TLS 1.2+ support to continue to use SMTP after this migration on November 22nd.
All usernames, passwords, email hostname and other configuration details will remain the same. The only other change is that your server's actual host name is changing from rs160.luxsci.com to rs167.luxsci.com.
Affected users are those that use the shared email server rs160. Your email server hostname looks like: email5.luxsci.com email30.luxsci.com email37.luxsci.com
